It isn’t done until the label is sewn to the back.

March has been a wonderful month for me.   I got caught up  on my Storytellers block of the month for month 5, 6  & 7.   I made 64 of these cuties 001

And got the center of the quilt sewn together

I got the pink version of the baby owl quilt machine quilted and delivered.

I took a small trip to Arkansas for a Sister weekend.  Had a wonderful time visiting my sister in Pine Bluff Arkansas.  Got to see my nephew and my great nephew.  Awesome weekend.  Came back totally rejuvenated having my sister fix.

Today I finished sewing the binding on the Saturday Sampler 2015 Quilt and the quilt label onto the back.  As the saying goes it’s not really finished until the label is sewn on.

Weather is warming, haven’t cleaned all the flower beds yet but already have some beauties announcing spring is here!  The bleeding hearts are one of my favorite spring flowers and a surprise holdover from last year a beautiful yellow pansy.  I love spring!!!

Working now on two projects at once.  T-Shirt quilt and sewing binding and label on Autumn Joy.

Happy Spring everyone and have a wonderful Easter and may God Bless You.

About Sissy Malone

I've been actively sewing since Jr. High School. But specifically drawn to quilting since I was 17/18 years old. My grandmother was a quilter and I became fascinated with the process. I fell in love (awestruck) is a better word viewing applique quilts by Gladys Rashka at the Minnesota State Fair in the 70's. A love affair was born of applique quilts. I still machine piece, but am always drawn to applique. I took classes learning different techniques and also traveled to California and studied a whole week at Asilomar with Elly Sienkiewicz. Quilting is my passion. I am always open to learning a new technique but still rely on handwork. View all posts by Sissy Malone
