Just finished the paper pieced 16″ pineapple block. I spent more time ripping I think than sewing. Very happy it is finally finished. One block to go. I have decided to substitute the carpenter’s wheel instead of the Ice Crystals block. Been busy this month made a quilt for a friend who is grieving and Tink added her special touches as well. She loves when the binding goes on. That’s when she gets to cuddle.
I took a Judy Niemeyer class “Crackers”. busy paper piecing. Love it. Having fun. Challenged myself to work with bright fabrics since I usually work with traditional ones.
Will post a a finished shot of the sampler once it’s done. Have to show it off on Monday at UFO club.
I was supposed to be in Paducah, KY today at the International Quilt show. Sad story is coming home from doctor’s appointment I had a blow out on the interstate and it damaged my bumper to the tune of $800 in repairs plus the cost of a new tire. . So there went my vacation. So bummed, I felt horrible yesterday after getting the repair news, so busied myself with yard work in the hopes I wouldn’t have to think about it. Today marginally bummed . But I did get quite a bit of sewing accomplished today. That Pineapple block was very challenging.
